How do you (Fon)-Do?!!!

Hey there all,

Well its getting to the frozen eyelashes stage here!!! I had to keep wiping the water beads from my eyelashes here. Its getting bloody cold here. Its supposed to get to about -25 here tomorrow. Remind me again why I didn't go to Australia instead?!?!?!?

Well, one thing I forgot to tell you, (whoever you are!!! That's reading this), is that over here they have things called +15 walkways. They are bridges over the streets from one building to another so you can avoid walking out into the cold, so you can actually walk a couple of blocks without ever stepping outside.

So we try our best to avoid catching our death of cold, because we would definitely prefer to catch our death by "death by chocolate". We went to a restaurant for Sinead's birthday which had death by Chocolate, an all-you-can-eat chocolate buffet. If I was to die, that is definitely the way to go!!!

We had a great New Years at Jeff's house. They usually have loads of people around for a new years fondu dinner, but it was a bit quieter this year. I had never had fondu before. For those not in-the-know, there are two sort of camping stoves in the middle of the table, with boiling oil in them and we had loads of raw food, from beef to chicken, and shrimp and meet balls, and everybody has their own skewers and you skewer the food and put it in to cook. Its a bit of a slow process but its really fun and worth it. They had batter too so we ended up having battered shrimp and battered chicken and beef for the more adventurous!!!! And to finish, we had chocolate fondu and loads of other sweet things. I literally couldn't move after it!! That, along with the Mulled wine, made it a really enjoyable evening. You wouldn't believe how great we have been treated since coming out here. It's amazing. We really landed on our feet. We are just looking forward now to making a bit of money and doing a bit of travelling. We haven't really organised anything like that yet, but soon hopefully!

Sinead is working part-time in a fancy clothes shop, Jacob, and will hopefully get a bit of lab work soon....its in the pipeline!!
I'm starting Monday with a company that manages Lotteries for Non-profit organisations. The "Stars Lottery" is just starting here so I'll be working on that. Its only a short term contract but that suits me fine. The prizes for the Stars lottery include Houses, Cars etc. Its amazing and its no wonder that they process 6,000 calls a day!!!

Well, I hope all is well with all of you. Let me know how your New Years went.
Take it easy and talk soon
David
