From white to the Pale!
Hi there
Long time. no post!
News to date....Unemployment!
Then .... I have been offered a job on a 6 month contract, to work with the Redemptorists in Dublin...hence the title of the post !!! I wasn’t too keen to move to Dublin for work, but there will be a good bit of travelling around involved and I get on well with the people I’ll be working with....(Chris O' Donoghue!!!)
We will be promoting the Redemptorists trips away in the summer, all of which now comes under the umbrella group title of SERVE (Keep an eye out for www.serve.ie, hopefully up and running soon.)
The trips now are to Thailand, the Philippines, Brazil, South Africa. The work will involve the creation of promotional material, organising fundraising and promoting the various summer projects that the Redemptorists run. They have been involved with sending groups to the Philippines for the last few years to work and help out with the development projects that they have going. There is one in Brazil and Mozambique too which are just getting off the ground, so the promotion of those will be our responsibility for the 6 months before the group finally flies off. It hasn’t been finally decided but I’ll probably be heading off to the Philippines or Brazil for the 6 or 8 week projects in the summer, so that should be pretty cool.
Anyway, thats all the news for now. Hope you all have an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas and New Year.
