Unbelievable
- 123,000 people dead and the count still continues
- Up to 5 million people without food and water
- Strength of earthquake was the strongest felt in 40 years and had the strength of 8 Hiroshima bombs
This is the headllines flashing up on Sky News at the moment. I am really struggling for words to express what is going through my head right now. At the start of January I will be starting a job to promote youth missions in the summer to Thailand, India and the Philippines. The help is probably most needed now but with the death toll as it is, how difficult is it to think of going out there. This is just beyond comprehension.
Friends of mine who were in Thailand in the summer on one of these projects had returned to Thailand with all of their family for Christmas to work in the orphanages there. News is that they are safe and well so thats good. I just can't imagine what it is like to be there now.
