No man is a (traffic) island!
Hi there,
Another quick post! Was just listening to the radio and Ray D'arcy interviewed a guy from England who is a member of the Roundabout Appreciation Society and has written two books about roundabouts and also has released a 2006 Roundabout calendar!! Whatever you call them, be it 'roundabout', 'traffic circle', 'traffic island', it still doesn't make sense that there's an appreciation society for it. But after you see this link, you might agree that there should probably be a 'Motorist appreciation society'!

Ringing it in!
Happy New Year
Once again, a time for resolutions, and good intentions. I am not going to record mine here because that makes it too obvious when I read this in February that I haven't stuck to them, so watch out in February for a posting and if I have actually kept my resolutions i will no doubt be shouting it out then!
Last night we went to see the clsoing fireworks ceremony for the Cork European Capital of Culture year. It was 4 tonnes and 15 minutes of standing in the lashing rain, and an absolutely spectacular display. Typical Ireland though...it was raining!
Had the usual family gathering then afterwards. It was a nice night.
I just realised something today.....Blogs are strange!
I was checking my emails and I got a message from my blogger account from somebody who had read my blog and found it somewhat strange or interesting and gave an invitation to look at his blog, so here it is....

I was just wondering, I suppose blogs are a type of release of all of the crap you want to say that nobody would bother listening to you if you started up a conversation with them about it, but yet it's of interest to other internet surfers. I suppose we can read about other people's lives and be jealous or just be glad that ours doesn't suck as bad as theirs does!! It's true isn't it?!
Well from now til February (at least) let's hope we can keep our New Years resolutions and may all our blog entries be so cool that everybody who drops into have a look is so jealous that they hate us!!!
