Moving on...
It's been a while. I suppose the news has been short on the ground so there hasn't been blog-worthy things to write about.
I have been job-searching for a while but also been kept busy at home and part-time working on the new SERVE website (due for launch shortly - I'll keep you informed - well worth the wait!) It's amazing how little spare time you have when you're job-searching to do anything else. Even though you're not getting money to work, there are things that fill your day and the day disappears without you knowing it.
So last week I finally got a job offer worth looking at and said I'd go for it and give it a go! Although it hasn't quite been the route that I was aiming to go down, it is something worth trying out. So i have had a week-and-a-half of not having to look for jobs on the internet so I'm sitting in front of the computer not knowing what sites to visit that aren't job-related!
So with the new job looming, I went looking for a new car at the weekend. Well, actually it will be my first car ever but I've been driving my mums car for the past 7 years!! So I think I have my heart set on the Citroen C2. I have to wait for 3 weeks for it though so hopefully it will be worth the wait. Sorting out a car in the mean-time is the next challenge!
And with a new job and a new car, you have to complete the set and get a new house!!!! Maybe I'll wait to get my first pay-check to look into that! And apparantly to complete that set you also have to buy a diamond ring - apparantly!
I have been suffering with a cold/flu for the last couple of weeks and it's a pain in the ass. I have also been doing an introductory night-course in Reiki and after you are "attuned" it apparantly brings back illnesses that haven't been properly cured, back to the fore so that they can be properly cleared from your body, so hopefully thats what its doing with the cold!
Although a lot of the background theory behind Reiki is a bit up in the air and tough to swallow, I do think there is something to the healing properties of it. It seems to be a pretty powerful force and from somebody who can't survive long without popping some sort of pill to sort out colds, coughs etc. I hope it works a charm!
So with my free time on the net, I have found a Site of the Day recently called a "Rasterbator". What you do is click onto the site and upload a photo from your computer to their site. You can then adjust the photo to fit to as many pages as you want - e.g Nine A4 pages, and they send you back a PDF file of the 9 A4 pages with the photo broken into dots across the 9 pages and then you print them out and put the photo together like a jig-saw. It's a nice effect. Heavy on printer ink but worth a try. Try it out on http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/
Happy Pancake Tuesday everybody, and enjoy the Irish snow!
